Falling Behind

Fall is getting away from me already.  The weather can be like a light switch here – good one day, horrid the next.

I have yet to put the garden to bed for the winter.  The snow could be upon me any day now.

Is it too early to hang the Christmas lights?  If we don’t get the timing just right on those they get to be hung in the snow, and on icy rooftops as well.

Yesterday marked the beginning of November.  I intended to keep a video gratitude journal each day of November this year.  I haven’t recorded yesterday’s yet.  (I am grateful for my heritage).

I’m supposed to be learning Spanish through Rosetta Stone, and I have yet to do the first lesson.  I signed up for this in September.

/sigh

Things are not looking promising if I can’t get my act together and get some things done.  I need to put ‘my’ stuff on the schedule so it stops being moved aside for someone else’s stuff.

On the bright side though, I really, truly do love the fall.  It is beautiful while it lasts.  And I love the holiday season.  I’m so grateful to be surrounded by my extended family once again, even if they do keep me hopping all over the place.  Oh look!  I think I know what my gratitude topic will be today – now to just do it!
